Questions, privacy requests, cancellation help and complaints can be lodged through AusTeacher support.

Privacy by design

  • Use class context, never student names, diagnoses, confidential records or identifying details.
  • Your account may store the profile, timetable, curriculum position, saved plans, subscription status and planning-pass balance needed to provide the service.
  • View-only TRT links contain a snapshot of the specific plan you choose to share. Anyone holding that link can read the snapshot until it expires or you turn it off, so keep identifying student information out.
  • Card details and payment authentication are handled by Stripe-hosted checkout. AusTeacher does not ask you to type card numbers into its planning screens.
  • Support requests and optional feedback are used to resolve issues and improve the service. Keep them free of identifying student information.
  • Privacy-minimised service analytics record event names and redacted page paths without URL queries, checkout session IDs or secure share tokens. Advertising pixels remain off unless separately disclosed and consented to.
  • Service providers may process the minimum information needed to run AusTeacher: Vercel for hosting, Supabase for accounts and saved plans, Stripe for billing, Resend for support email and OpenAI when an AI-assisted planning feature is requested.
  • Account profiles and saved plans remain available while the account is active. Expired share snapshots are removed or made inaccessible; payment and support records may be retained where required for security, tax, dispute and legal obligations.
  • AusTeacher teacher accounts are for adults. The current release is not a student-record system and is not designed for children to create accounts or submit personal information.
  • You can ask support for access, correction, export or deletion of account information, subject to security, tax, dispute and legal record-keeping requirements.

Before you teach

  • Review every generated plan before classroom use.
  • Check curriculum fit, accessibility, timing, resources, safety and your school’s policies.
  • Edit student-facing language and instructions for the age and needs of your class.
  • Confirm that websites, media, equipment and activities are appropriate and available.
  • Keep professional judgement in charge: AusTeacher is planning support, not an automatic authority.

Service and payment terms

  • AusTeacher creates editable curriculum-aware planning drafts, timetable views, printable materials, Teach-Live views and TRT handoffs.
  • AusTeacher does not claim official approval by a curriculum authority, education department or school system.
  • Generated material can contain errors or need local adaptation. No lesson is guaranteed to suit every class, setting or school requirement.
  • Original AusTeacher lesson designs, activities, explanations, layouts and illustrations are protected content. The subscribing teacher may use and adapt them with their own class and provide a specific plan to the designated TRT.
  • AusTeacher materials must not be resold, publicly uploaded, repackaged, used to extract or reproduce AusTeacher templates, or redistributed as another resource product.
  • Australian Curriculum material remains the property of ACARA and is used under CC BY 4.0. AusTeacher does not claim ownership of ACARA curriculum material.
  • Paid access is governed by the product, price, billing period, planning-pass allowance and renewal information shown before payment.
  • Sunday Night Rescue is a one-off purchase and does not renew. Week Ready and Full Relief Studio renew monthly at the displayed Australian-dollar price until cancelled.
  • Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled from the signed-in billing portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the paid billing period unless a remedy under Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.
  • Planning-pass allowances reset on the subscription renewal date. AusTeacher does not make automatic overage charges. Unused monthly allowances do not roll over unless the checkout offer expressly says they do.
  • Prices displayed to Australian customers include GST. Stripe shows the final amount and recurring billing terms before payment.
  • An individual subscription is licensed to one named teacher. Login credentials, account access and planning passes must not be shared. Use an AusTeacher download or print handoff for a TRT; use a view-only plan link only when secure sharing is shown as available in Studio.
  • School accounts and shared staff administration are not part of the current individual subscription and will be offered only when separately released.
  • Accounts, planning passes or access must not be resold or used to submit harmful, unlawful or privacy-invasive requests.
  • If a lesson, download, account or payment does not work as expected, contact support for assessment. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that apply under Australian Consumer Law.
  • A refund request is reviewed against the purchase, service delivered, the reported problem and applicable consumer guarantees. AusTeacher does not require card numbers in a support request.

What AusTeacher is—and is not

The current AusTeacher release helps teachers build a day or week, prepare Sunday Night Rescue and TRT handoffs, and create editable classroom materials from the Australian Curriculum v9 context they select. Map My Year/Term is not part of the current release. AusTeacher supports planning; it does not replace your curriculum authority, school program, safeguarding obligations, professional standards or professional judgement.

Do not use AusTeacher as a student-record system. Describe a class in broad, teacher-facing terms and remove identifying information before submitting any request.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You may also be entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure is not major, you are entitled to have the problem rectified within a reasonable time; if that does not happen, you may cancel and obtain a refund for the unused portion.

Start with AusTeacher support and include the account email, purchase date and a concise description of the problem—never card details or identifying student information. If a complaint is not resolved, you may contact the consumer-protection body in your state or territory.
